AVST has announced the release of ATOM (AVST Total Office Management). ATOM is like a personal assistant, acting as a 24/7 office manager that understands the context of a given situation, empowering the user as well as the caller.

ATOM knows your location by using the geo-awareness within an Android or iOS mobile client or by sensing the nearest Wi-Fi network. It can also check your presence status on Lync, view your calendar and knows if a Plantronics headset is on. It uses this information to ascertain the best way to process incoming calls, for example if your presence is set to ‘Do not disturb’, it will route incoming calls to your voicemail box.

And because ATOM is in sync with your calendar it can notify callers that you are ‘in a meeting and will be back at 11am.’

Using a Nuance speech recognition engine, ATOM provides unified messaging and works with every major voice platform. It is also multi-lingual.

ATOM will be available in CX-E/S 8.5, which will be released in the next quarter, expected release for August 2013.
