Text messaging service ‘helps people take their pills’
December 12, 2014Around a third of patients do not take their medicine as directed by their doctor. Recent research has discovered that a text messaging service could help to remind patients take their medicines when prescribed.
A test SMS reminder scheme was recently run on heart patients and it cut the numbers who forgot or just stopped taking their pills.
One in six was helped to continue their treatment which in turn reduced their risk of a heart attack and stroke.
ProcessFlows can help your organisation to harness this latest research with our SMS Solutions and help your patients take their medicine regularly.
