If it’s good enough for him …

So, Michael Lynton the CEO of SONY has turned to Fax because it’s secure* … well yes, that’s what we’ve been saying for almost three decades!

As a result of the big Sony hack of Dec 2014, Mr Lynton says that he now writes sensitive messages by hand and sends them by fax – Not the best way to fax, certainly not the cheapest, but nonetheless he is right to rely on the vastly superior security of this particular communications medium. Unlike all those emails that were hacked, faxes are very hard to intercept and the data travels from point to point, rather than flying all over the world and sitting on various potentially insecure servers and devices.

Electronic fax would be an even better bet for Mr Lynton, he wouldn’t have to find a pen and then walk to the fax machine, or pay for the expensive consumables and dedicated phone line, but then it does sound like he rather enjoys slowing things down for a minute.
