As business process outsourcing develops worldwide and increases in value and ROI, the attractiveness of Bulgaria as a top European Outsourcing destinations grows with it.

According to an A.T. Kearney ranking,

Bulgaria is the leading location for BPO in Europe and consistently ranks in the top 15 worldwide as the best location for BPO functions.

With a total population of about 7.5 million, Bulgaria offers a well-educated and professionally trained multilingual workforce that can provide high quality work implementation – this is just one of the reasons Bulgaria has attracted many global companies to set up offices in Sofia.

Since 2009, SAP, IBM, HP, VMware, Comverse and other IT companies have chosen Bulgaria as their BPO destination. The Bulgarian office of HP employs over 4000 people and continues to grow every year. The Country ranks 8th at global level in certified IT professionals, according to the Brainbench Global IT IQ Report.

Bulgaria has been a member of NATO since 2004 and member of the European Union since 2007. As a result, the legal framework has been harmonised with EU legislation. This gives companies assurances that data protection laws are strictly enforced and followed.
