Messaging Traffic Is Strongly CRM Related

A recent study revealed that the majority of SMS traffic is comprised of customer contact related care messages. Some of the common types of messages sent were travel updates, appointment confirmations and password reminders. Interestingly, only 18% of global traffic was considered to be of a marketing nature.

In another recent survey, conducted by Millward Brown Digital, it was found that of the 73% who said they have received a text or push message from a company, 68% found it valuable. The survey also found that 80% of mobile phone users are willing to share information with brands to receive offers and information.
