AVST achieves 2nd Microsoft Gold Communications Competency

August 18, 2015

… this time for its CX-E solution integration with Skype for Business

Business solution provider, ProcessFlows, is the sole UK distributor, bespoke developer and integrator of AVST’s Unified Communications Solution, CX-E.

Andy Whiteside, ProcessFlows Head of UC said; “Last month AVST announced Gold Messaging Competency for Exchange environments. This second Gold Communications Competency for Skype for Business further validates our ability and commitment to meeting customers’ communication technology needs now and well into the future.”

Achieving Gold

The Microsoft Partner Network enables partners to connect with one of the most active, diverse networks in the world and deliver the latest technologies to Microsoft customers.

Gold Communications Competency demonstrates specific partner expertise in videoconferencing, voice over Internet protocol and instant messaging with the ability and commitment to meet Microsoft Corp. customers’ evolving needs for more efficient communications and connectivity.

AVST successfully completed exams to prove their technology expertise. Staff ability and capacity had to be demonstrated. Customer projects were also assessed, along with revenue commitment, technology and sales aptitude. This new status puts them in the top 1 percent of MS channel partners in a network of thousands of reseller partners worldwide.

The Skype drivers

In a move to reduce travel and improve operational efficiencies, businesses are increasingly switching to MS Skype for Business (either as their sole voice communications platform or as an addition to their existing PBX environment).

AVST responded by developing a Skype for Business feature set within CX-E which provides:

  • Enterprise-wide and departmental speech and DTMF automated attendant.
  • A full set of IVR and notification capabilities.
  • Voicemail to support customer confidentiality and compliance requirements where Exchange UM could not be used.
  • Informal Contact centre for improved Team Call handling.
  • Personal assistant to enable the mobile workforce.
  • Intelligent call completion based on user location, schedules and presence information, meaning the technology works without user intervention!
